James 1:27 tell us… “ Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
Emily and Dustin Hughes have committed to do just that.
As a church family we should support them as much as possible. They are in the final stages of adopting a baby boy from China and need help raising the funds required to complete the adoption. To assist with the fundraising they have decided to enlist the help of lifesongfororphans.org and head up a “Both Hands” project. The mission and purpose of lifesongfororphans.org and the “Both Hands” project is to serve widows, orphans, and adoptive families and help raise funds for orphans while serving widows through home improvement projects. To put it as simply as possible… You can sponsor members of the volunteer work crew that Emily & Dustin are putting together to work March 1, 2014 from 8am-4pm on a local widow’s home, Ada Turley. You might even know her. She is a member of Temple Baptist Church in Salida. Funds are raised for the adoption through sponsorship of the volunteer work crew members AND a widow in the community is served at the same time. How awesome is that!!!!
If you would like to sponsor a volunteer work crew member or maybe become a volunteer work crew member contact Emily Hughes at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 719-207-4520.
If you need more information about this process and how it all works you can go to http://www.lifesongfororphans.org and watch the video. It will touch your heart. All sponsorships are fully deductible and 100% of the funds raised through the sponsorships go toward the adoption.
CAN YOU HELP? WILL YOU HELP? Please pray and seek God’s leading in this request.
