This Ain’t About Money
August 4, 2010
In Malachi 3:8 – 10 we see a scripture about tithing and money. But as I read this the other day I thought how many of us are missing God’s blessings because of the curse we carry? I am not talking about money or the material, but about the blessing of Almighty God.
It is terrible and tragic to have access to your blessing yet you are blocked by your curse. For it is true that countless individuals who call themselves Christians live a seemingly picture perfect existence that appears to be marked by blessings, joys, serendipities, pleasures, and grace gifts; but in reality—from God’s perspective, the Word’s promise, and eternity’s point of view, they are stifled, held back, and handcuffed by the misery of their curse. Changing The Course Of Our Nation
June 7, 2010
We will celebrate our 234th birthday as a nation. This is the greatest country on the earth and I do not know if there has been any better. We have been given a great nation, we are stewards of a nation in which others fought, sacrificed and died for. Our Founding Fathers sacrificed a great deal so that we could have this great nation. “Why Did I Say That?”
May 18, 2010
Two elderly, excited Southern women were sitting together in the front pew of church listening to a fiery preacher. When this preacher condemned the sin of stealing, these two ladies cried out at the tops of their lungs, “AMEN, BROTHER!” When the preacher condemned the sin of lust, they yelled again, “PREACH IT, REVEREND!” And when the preacher condemned the sin of lying, they jumped to their feet and screamed, “RIGHT ON, BROTHER! TELL IT LIKE IT IS… AMEN!” But when the preacher condemned the sin of gossip, the two got very quiet. One turned to the other and said, “He’s quit preaching and now he’s meddlin’.” Click to read on…
Living The Christian Life

And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16 Click to read on…

No this is not a Christmas article. It is just a reminder that we are to experience, and pass on joy.
Joy is one of the most essential fruits of the Holy Spirit. Without joy you have nothing of use.
Take for instance Joy detergent, Almond Joy, or a Joystick. What happens when you run out of Joy? Click to read on…
For The Love Of God
January 28, 2010
Here is a story I read about a nine-year-old boy who lived in a rural town in Tennessee. His house was in a poor area of the community. A church had a bus ministry that came knocking on his door one Saturday afternoon. The kid came to answer the door and greeted the bus pastor. The bus pastor asked if his parents were home and the small boy told him that his parents take off every weekend and leave him at home to take care of his little brother. The bus pastor couldn’t believe what the kid said and asked him to repeat it. The youngster gave the same answer and the bus pastor asked to come in and talk with him.
Christmas: A Season of Stress?
December 5, 2009
The picture the Bible gives us of the first Christmas is one of peace and serenity. You can see it with your mind’s eye: There are the shepherds, gathered around a campfire under a clear, starlit sky, quietly talking among themselves about their flocks, their families, their fortunes . . . Down in the town of Bethlehem, away from the hustle and bustle of the multitude which has come for the census, a stable has become home to a newborn child, sleeping peacefully in the hay of the animals’ feed-trough, under the watchful eyes of his adoring parents. And even though the night sky would eventually be shattered by the singing of angels, even their message was one of “Peace on earth! Goodwill toward men!” Why is it then, that our modern culture has taken this sacred season–which has always been meant to be a season of peace and joy and serenity–and turned it into a “season of stress?” Is there any other time of year that is so stressful as Christmas? I mean, you just have to get your shopping done, and your parties planned, and your Christmas cards mailed, and your decorations up . . . . You just have to run here and go there, and do this and accomplish that. Click to read on…
