One of the best ways to grow your faith and get to know other believers is to attend a Sunday School class and other weekly Bible studies. All Christians need a place where they can minister and be ministered to, love and be loved, grow and mature.  Temple Baptist Church is committed to being a place of prayer and discipleship.  Weekly Sunday Bible classes connect you with others and give you an opportunity to study God’s Word in an informal setting, get your questions answered, and share your praises and burdens. We are a people of the Word. We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. We believe that a person’s greatest need is to be rightly related to God through Jesus Christ. We believe that each person who is a Christian should be actively involved in a local church, and that includes Bible Study.

You are invited to come join a class. If you are unsure which class to attend or where it meets, just come and we will direct you.

Sunday Morning Bible Study Classes

Nursery
Nursery is provided during Sunday Bible Study for ages 6 months-3 years.

Preschool Class - Taught by Shelly Sparkman
Our class uses the Veggie Tales study series with a craft lesson.  We are currently studying “God’s Way”. Our studies are also based around the different holidays. This class is for ages 3-5 years.

Children’s Department - Taught by Susie Orzechowski
Our children’s department studies the books of the Bible with an emphasis on memorizing scripture. The curriculum is based on the Team Kids lesson series. Our children’s department is for ages 6-12 years.

Youth Department – Taught by Vickie Kilmer, and Ron & Roxanne McCarty
Our youth Bible Study class is for middle and high school students. We meet in the Youth House. We base our studies on the books of the Bible. There is lively discussion each week. As we read through the Bible with others, we learn how the scriptures help us relate to the world today.

Young Adult – Taught by Sam & Linda Haltom
Our classes study subjects that help young adults, single and married. We study God’s Word and the special meaning it has for and in the lives of this age group.

Adult Two – Taught by Dale England
Our class uses the “Explore the Bible” lesson series. Study subjects include maintaining spiritual health, affirming spiritual principles, and choosing spiritual paths.

Bible Life Class – Taught by Gene Siemer
We recently studied the books of Daniel and James. On June 14th, we begin a 27-week survey type study of each of the books of the New Testament. Some sessions consider class-suggested topics.

Adult Four – Taught by Carmen Cook
Our class currently is studying prayer. Since we are the oldest class, we celebrate just being able to come to Sunday School each week.

Abigail Class – Taught by Georgia Bailey
This class is just for the ladies. We use the “Bible Studies for Life” study series. We are learning about how to know God and how to find and follow God’s will.
