The women’s ministry at Temple Baptist is called Women’s Missionary Union Ladies Group. The group meets every second Saturday at 10:30 am at the church. Ladies, please invite your friends. We have a short program, projects and lunch. All of the meetings for 2010 are on the calendar section of the website.
“Dear friend, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God”. 1 John 4:7 NIV
ATTENTION LADIES
We are getting ready for our spring retreat APRIL 20 & April 21 this year our speaker is RUTHIE DELK:
I grew up in Europe as a missionary kid and met my husband David while at Furman University, where I graduated with a degree in Special Education. David and I have three children. Our oldest two are students at the University of Florida and the youngest is in high school. Currently my personal ministry revolves around working with young moms and homeschooling families in Orlando through an organization called Classical Conversations. Through bible studies, small groups and teaching opportunities my passion is to help women embrace the Gospel in such a way that captures their hearts and not just their minds. I enjoy reading, watching movies, drinking sweet tea, riding my bike and eating any assortment of cheap chocolate.
On the lighter side…
At the current time I have three used tubes of toothpaste by my sink that are in various states of nastiness. I have no explanation for why, but I know that when I look at my husband’s sink and see that it is spotless it reminds that opposites do indeed attract. In 1989 I began scrap booking but there was no Creative Memories back then (this proves that I am officially old). It was called Shoebox to Showcase before they changed their name. I was a scrap booking machine until this thing called a digital camera came a long and ruined my system. Now it seems like I couldn’t find and print a picture from my computer if my life depended on it. I would choose raw cookie dough, eggs included, over a warm cooked cookie any day of the week. And no I have never gotten salmonella poisoning. I love to exercise and rid
e my bike. But only if I do it with a friend. No friend available. No exercise for me. That’s how much I love to exercise. I have been married to my husband David for 23 years, who is President of Man in the Mirror.
Ruthie’s topic will be “Daughter of the King”
Please start your preparation now for this special time: Pray that God will prepare your heart for the message. Pray now about who you will bring with you. Do you have a friend, a relative (sister, daughter, daughter in law that you want to share Christ with) now is the time, Ruthie has a wonderful way of sharing Christ.
March: Meeting will be Saturday the 10th at 10 am. We will work on the final preparations for the Spring Retreat and have a devotion and prayer time.
PLEASE PRAY NOW FOR THE LADIES SPRING RETREAT:
PRAY FIRST FOR YOURSELF AND WHAT THIS TIME WILL MEAN TO YOU. PRAY FOR A FRIEND OR RELATIVE YOU WILL BE INVITING. PRAY FOR RUTHIE AS SHE PREPARES WHAT GOD WILL PUT ON HER HEART TO SHARE WITH US. PRAY FOR RUTHIE TO HAVE A SAFE TRIP. PRAY FOR HER FAMILY WHILE SHE IS AWAY FROM THEM.
As you prepare for the upcoming time in our ladies group remember; Zephaniah 3:17- “The Lord your God in your midst. The mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” NKJV
“For You were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” I Peter 2:25 NIV
Please all ladies of the church plan to attend and be a part of WMU.
John 15:12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”
